THESE SPACES IN OUR LOVE

    THESE SPACES IN OUR LOVE

We used to share a space of love

Where whispers and kisses were enough

We called each other by pet names

And tasted each other like champagne

We used to bridge the space between

The private and the public scene

We didn't care about the labels

Or the boundaries and the cables

But then we lost our space of grace

We drifted into different places

I don't know where you are or think

Or if we still have a link

You say I'm in your space too much

You push me away with a touch

You draw the lines of yours and mine

And hang the towels with a sign

What happened to our space of bliss?

Where did we lose our tenderness?

How did we grow so far apart?

And break each other's heart?
